Las Vegas has been called the entertainment capital of the world. For those of you who are Las Vegas Real Estate residents certain times of the year and certain conventions and events throughout the year can put a dent in traffic. The city of Las Vegas while in the past has not had the best public transportation options it is on the up and up. New buses new routes new terminals are all being birthed. The Deuce is such one of those babies.
Up until now the only thing that was available to visitors was taxis shuttles rental cars limousines and of course their friend who lives in Las Vegas car or better yet their friend who lives in Las Vegas simply becomes the chauffer. All of those can become an expensive headache or inconvenience and walking everywhere can get quite tiresome. The Deuce is a fancy golden in color double decker bus. Its purpose is to take visitors (and residents) to from and around the Las Vegas Strip thus reducing the dent in traffic.
Visitors (and residents) can purchase an all day unlimited boarding pass for $7 ($15 for three days). This allows you full access to the North and South ends of the Strip. From the Las Vegas Outlet Malls on the South end to the Fremont Street Experience on the North end to the premiere shops at Town Center in the middle there will be plenty to do. Discounts apply for those over the age of 60.
Note if youre trying to get somewhere quickly The Deuce may not be your best bet as it is more for the leisurely types.
InnOut Burger is a Las Vegas Real Estate favorite. With over twelve locations in the Las Vegas area alone locals and visitors keep this fastfood restaurant busy. In a previous Welcome Home Nevada blog entry I wrote The menu (InnOut Burger) is simple with only a few choices burgers with the basic extras fries drinks and shakes. Order straight from the menu or if you are so privy order from their secret menu. What you say? InnOut Burger has a secret menu? Lets unravel this little secret.
Unlike the famous Las Vegas magician Lance Burton who keeps his secrets under lock and key InnOut Burger has made their secret menu notsosecret anymore. I recall the first time I heard my friend order a 1 animal style and a vanilla shake in place of a coke. I had no idea what that was until she told me. I ordered it and I no longer order from the public menu. The secret Animal Style burger is cooked with the mustard on it topped with grilled onions and whatever other toppings you want. Its AMAZING
Other InnOut Burger secret menu items include Protein Style Grilled Cheese Double Meat 3x3 and 4x4. All of which are now notsosecret. However this notsosecret menu isnt posted anywhere that Ive been able to find other than their official website. Head over there for more secret unravelings.
One more thing InnOut Burger is open on Labor Day
The end of summer is quickly approaching. Now that the kiddos are back in school while you might enjoy quietly floating in your pool all good things must come to an end. If the pool is not heated youll be deflating your rafts and beach balls putting everything in the garage for the winter before you know it.
Here are some tips for winterizing your pool
Dont worry about closing the pool until the temperatures are right. The professional rule of thumb is to wait until day temps are in the mid to late 60s and night temps are in the 40s.
Clean the pool before draining it. Dont forget to vacuum and scrub the sides.
Drain the water to the proper level. Remember that it is a violation to drain the water directly into the city streets. Use the sewer clean out for draining.
Remove and store away diving boards and ladders.
Clean all filters thoroughly.
Thoroughly inspect all the pool parts at the beginning and end of each summer. If anything needs to be replaced now is the time.
Add any winterizing chemicals to the remaining water.
Cover it. Hopefully you got a pool cover rebate on it.
One of the greatest perks of being a resident of Henderson Real Estate is the weather. Fall is perfect and the winters are mild. Although the pool may be closed the patio can remain open all year. Enjoy every minute of it.
