Celebrity Howard Hughes arrived in Las Vegas in the 1960’s and started buying real estate. The Summerlin Centre, also known as the urban core of Summerlin, lodges some of the best retail shops and restaurants in the Las Vegas valley, including the infamous Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa. Again, more developments are just ahead with a Career and Technical Academy opening in 2010 as well as plans for The Shops at Summerlin Centre and yet another public elementary school.
